Principles of Magic

The following "Principles of Magic" are presented "tongue in cheek". Contained within them, are sound guidelines. They are worth your attention, and help keep you focused on what is important in magic.

The Ham and Cheese Principle
If you walked up to your friend and said "look at this". Then reached into the air and pulled out a Ham and Cheese sandwich, that would be good. But instead, if you walked up to your friend, and he said, "you know what I want is a Ham and Cheese sandwich". Then you reached into the air and pulled out a Ham and Cheese sandwich, that would be a miracle.

Rice Krispie Principle
If you could take one singe Rice Krispie kernel and levitate it only one inch off the table. And do so in such a way that there is no doubt, in anyone's mind, that it was done with real magic. Then you would have the world’s greatest magic trick.
